How to use Jeopardy Review Game in class

Arrange questions by category and difficulty for team discussion, timed responses, scoring, and review across any subject.

Best for: Grades 3–12 Prep time: 15–30 minutes

What is this tool?

The value of Jeopardy is not only speed or points. A well-designed board gives teams time to discuss, requires explainable answers, and includes a role for every student.

How to use it

  1. Make each column a clear category and let each question check one main target.
  2. Give teams 15–30 seconds to discuss before randomly selecting a spokesperson.
  3. End by revisiting the two most-missed questions and asking every student to record a correct response.

Classroom example: four kinds of evidence

Use columns for identify, calculate, compare, and explain. Teams rotate the recorder and spokesperson. At the end, each student chooses one missed question and writes why the corrected answer makes sense.

Teacher tips

  • Mix quick retrieval with questions that reward careful thinking.
  • Write acceptable-answer criteria in advance when more than one response could work.
  • Control sound and competition so the game supports review instead of overwhelming it.
